Prescription & Healthcare Products Policy

Effective date: 22 August 2026|Last updated: 22 August 2026

Regulated medicines

Some medicines are subject to prescription and other regulatory controls.

India’s Drugs Rules provide specific prescription warnings for Schedule H, H1 and X medicines and restrict retail sale of applicable products without a prescription from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Prescription requirement

Where applicable, MM+ will require an appropriate prescription before fulfilling a prescription medicine.

Prescription verification

MM+ may review whether a prescription:

  • appears to have been issued by an appropriate medical practitioner;
  • contains sufficient information;
  • appropriately identifies the prescribed medicine;
  • appears authentic;
  • is sufficiently legible; and
  • meets applicable requirements.

MM+ may decline fulfilment where reasonable verification cannot be completed.

No guaranteed fulfilment

Uploading or providing a prescription does not guarantee that a medicine will be supplied.

Availability, regulatory requirements and verification still apply.

Prescription misuse

Customers must not:

  • submit forged prescriptions;
  • alter prescriptions;
  • use another person’s prescription improperly; or
  • attempt to obtain regulated medicines unlawfully.

Medicine substitution

MM+ will not knowingly substitute prescription medicines solely for commercial convenience.

Where substitution is appropriate, applicable professional and regulatory requirements and customer consent must be followed.

Medicine information

The appearance of a medicine on MM+ does not mean that the medicine is suitable for a particular customer.

Prescription medicines should be used only under appropriate medical supervision.

Storage

Customers should follow all manufacturer storage requirements.

Do not use a product where:

  • the package is compromised;
  • the seal appears broken;
  • the product has expired; or
  • required storage conditions may not have been maintained.

Emergencies

MM+ customer support is not an emergency medical service.

For urgent or serious medical situations, seek appropriate medical assistance.
